audible brain surgery

here´s the story of a sketch for school which made his way to the music-stores and tv-screens :)

supposed to be an illustration for a newspaper article about music-therapy after an apoplectic stroke the picture was later used by german heavy metal band q-box for their cd cover.
i just had to redraw the existing bandlogo in the same style add it to the illustration and with a little digital editing it was ready for print.

clay everywhere

despite the whole final-work for school thing and other small jobs i couldn´t resist doing a piece for the poster-contest of 'kulturspektakel gauting'.
it´s always fun and i´ll do it till they pick one of my layouts ;)
last year´s was a little banksy-influenced collage thing and guess what it is this time...clay :)

a little bumpy but he finally got to have a smoke. more complex than i thought but however i´m still kind of content with it. so is he on the face of it :)

finale

for my final work at ifog academy i chose stopmotion-animation as theme and before i concentrate on a shortfilm i´ll do some test-shoots which i´m about to post here later. working with clay is still as much fun as 20 years ago but the lil fella has to chill under his plastic tent till i sort out the whole program-stuff and get a proper tripod for my eos...

first steps

while facing the end of graphic-design studies i combed through the early works at ifog academy.
there´s everything from unsightly over absurd to quite funny. and there are those which i still find - in all their imperfectness - quite charming...

dusky eddie

wondering where that blog-header above comes from?!
it´s a cutout of my dusky version of a 'edward scissorhands'-poster.
i´ve done a sketch which i liked so much i thought i had to make something out of it.
here´s the sketch and the 'something'...

to start this whole thing i dug out some pieces from under the bed.
this one´s acryl on cardboard with some digital post-editing.

same technique on the second one which is one of my favorites and was used for a short story by acclaimed writer emanuel von thadisburg :)
